Ada, wife of Vidame HUGO I (and of Goslen I of Lèves).
In an extraordinary error, André Chédeville carelessly misread the SMdC documents and the accompanying notes published by Depoin concerning the Vidames of Chartres and declared that "the Vidames belonged to this powerful family [the Le Riche]: after Giroard, cited in 928, we only know of Raginald, at the beginning of the 11th century; he married Ada, sister of Goslin Le Riche, by whom he had two sons, Albert and Hugo, who succeeded him."[29] On the contrary, this document[30] tells us that Ada was the mother of Albert (and of Goslen [II] Divitis of Lèves), son of Vidame Hugo; and Depoin makes clear in his notes that he believed Ada's first husband was Vidame Hugo, and her second, after 1045, Gauslin II of Lèves. Chédeville thus seems to have conflated Oda, wife of Raginald, and Ada, wife of Hugo I. Adila, femina Hugonis appeared with her husband, Hugo, and sons, Guirrius, Hugo, and Albert in an act for Marmoutier.[31]
Ada is called the mother of Goslen divitis (II of Lèves), whose brother is Albert, son of Vidame H[ugo].
