Orderic Vitalis records that "Engenulfus et Richuereda uxor eius" donated property for "Rogerius primogenitus Engenulfi de Aquila filius" after he was killed, dated to [1059/61][2315]. The Chronique de Normandie, based on le Roman de Rou, names "Engenous de l´Aigle" among those who took part in the conquest of England in 1066[2316]. Orderic Vitalis records that he was killed at the battle of Hastings[2317] and, in an earlier passage, his place of burial[2318]. m RICHEREDA, daughter of --- (bur Saint-Sulpice-sur-Risle[2319]).
