The 13th century Histoire des ducs de Normandie et des rois d´Angleterre names "Engherrans de Couci…si doi frère Thumas et Robiers"[804]. The Annales Londonienses record the death in 1244 of "Engilrammus de Cucy pater reginæ Scotiæ" after falling from his horse and being dragged into a river in which he was stabbed by his own sword[805].
